Israel and the prostitution law

An unprecedented moral and spiritual revolution is currently taking place in Israel. The government has just approved the application of the law that prohibits prostitution in the country. The new law, approved a year and a half ago by the Knesset, punishes those who are caught seeking the services of a prostitute, as well as those who are detained in places known for prostitution, such as brothels and hot spots. In it, first-time offenders will be fined NIS 2,000 ($530), with the sum doubled for repeat offenses within three years. Prosecutors will also be empowered to charge clients with prostitution in certain cases, with a maximum penalty fine of NIS 75,300 ($20,400). The law was initially billed to take effect in mid-2020, but was delayed to give the state and other interest groups time to polish rehabilitation mechanisms for sex workers and allow them to find alternative livelihoods. Prostitution in Israel is a $500 million industry, with some 20,000 sex workers. Most of them are foreigners. Israel joins other nations such as Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, etc., who have since adopted the ‘Nordic Model’ to address the problem of prostitution. This model criminalizes the buyers, decriminalizes the seller, and paves the way out for practitioners by providing support services to help them. It also makes sex trafficking a criminal offence. This model has worked well in more than ten countries that practice it.

Speaking about the call and pressure from some right-wing groups to further delay the implementation of the law, the country’s Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn said that women are not property and their bodies are not rented at any price. He refused to postpone the law. For her part, the head of the Department of Trafficking in Persons of the Ministry of Justice, Dina Domenitz, pointed out that once the law enters into force, the era of ambivalence regarding the phenomenon of prostitution had ended… She also agreed with Nissenkorn that women are not for sale, “We are stating, very clearly, that women and men are not commodities to be rented for an hour, and their dignity and freedom cannot be despised. We hope this law will help thousands of people who practice prostitution. , reduce the phenomenon of human trafficking and also bring about real social change for women,” she said. Before now, the country had taken this long battle to strip clubs, lap dance clubs and other salacious venues. I remember Tel Aviv’s notorious sodomy Pussycat strip club being shut down and then turned into a center of Jewish values in 2019. This club could aptly be described before it was shut down as a mainstay in the immoral capital of the Middle East. our dear holy land?

We congratulate the government and people of Israel for their steadfastness in addressing this shameful, degrading and cancerous global threat. This longstanding lewd practice brings so much pain, stain and shame to those involved, their families and society. We all know that prostitution has health, psychological, social, security and spiritual implications. It promotes the spread of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) and we know how many people die or are permanently ‘unproductive’ from these terrible diseases every day. The statistics are there. There are many health problems around you. In fact, someone asked if these patrons who hang around don’t see the deterioration, the scars, the stitches and the bleeding on the bodies of these ladies of easy virtue. It destroys the individuals involved psychologically and emotionally. It truncates life dreams, visions and aspirations. It also diverts resources, energy, emotions, care, and time that should be channeled toward the right relationships and family. And these activities are not only in brothels, there is also private and corporate prostitution all around us. So it also has security implications. We know that these prostitutes and brothels house criminals, spies and other anti-social elements. A nation that carelessly leaves the men and women of the street free will definitely open its doors to enemies. It will be very difficult for you to make sure.

Then the spiritual: prostitution and other immoral acts bring ruin and spiritual defeat. Before now, I have been wondering how Israel has managed to resist or defeat her enemies in the midst of all these weaknesses. Real. In the Bible, we are variously warned against prostitution and sexual immorality, and such sins always brought defeat and divine punishment. When Sodom and Gomorrah practiced homosexuality and other sexual sins, they were totally obliterated and wiped off the world map. When Noah’s generation lived in sexual sins that included sleeping with demonic spirits, they were swept away in the flood. When the sons of Eli practiced the same in the house of God, Israel was repeatedly defeated by their enemies, the Ark of the Covenant was captured, and the Priest Eli, his sons, and hundreds of Israelite soldiers paid with their lives. You also remember the notorious Jezebelic and satanic ‘Balaam Doctrine’ – where sexual immorality and idolatry were deliberately used to alienate Israel from God’s protection and presence. They paid directly for that oversight. God’s people could not be defeated until they engaged in such sinful practices. Sin opens the door to defeat. This satanic strategy is still in use and very effective today. God does not take lightly the sins of immorality, idolatry, rape, and the shedding of innocent blood and that is why Old Testament laws allow anyone involved in any of these to be stoned to death. In the New Testament, we are also strongly warned to flee prostitution and sexual sins because the partners involved automatically become one in flesh, soul, spirit, and destruction. In fact, the Apostle Paul clearly asked in 1 Corinthians 6:16, “Do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one with her in body? For it is said that the two shall be one flesh.” I hope you have understood it very well?

And because the sexual relationship was originally and divinely created to make husband and wife one, united, physically and spiritually covenanted, a prostitute and the client or sexual partners also become one in blood covenant, in soul bond, in curses and in punishment. Yes, sex is more than a physical pleasure and a fantasy. it is spiritual it is divine It is not as simple as the world wants us to believe. It is actually pouring and receiving life from partners. And for this reason it also produces ‘currents’ of life, psychic, emotional and spiritual. In fact, we have discovered that blessing, curse. favors and spirits (demons) can be transferred through sexual intercourse, and now imagine how much of the negative can be contacted through prostitution and immorality. By abolishing this sinful practice, Israel will now be stronger spiritually, physically, and militarily. Now they can confidently face their security, economic and social challenges with divine assurance. They have always counted on this. You will now be completely divinely protected.

Now, Israel must also immediately follow this move with a complete ban on same-sex practices and gay parades. It always makes me want to vomit every time I see homosexuals marching across the holy land with their rebel flags and iniquitous suits, dresses and banners. Gay parades in the holy streets of Jerusalem and Israel? It’s always like watching a horror movie for me. I mean the same city and town that God named after him and said they will be called his forever? And I always wonder if it is the same land that produced and welcomed characters like Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, great prophets like Moses, Samuel, Elijah and Elisha, judges like Deborah and Samson. Powerful kings like David, Solomon, Josiah, Jehoshaphat, and agents of positive change like Jesus, Peter, and Paul? It always leaves some of us in shock and disbelief. Remember that billions of Christians, Judaists and others daily pray, watch, monitor and feel what is happening in Israel. We urgently call on other countries to emulate Israel by enacting laws that will restore humanity’s dignity and purpose.
