Artificial intelligence is getting better all the time, soon, AI software engineers will create joke recognition systems, where the computer will understand irony and know when the human is telling a joke, then it will reciprocate with a joke of its own, perhaps creating a joke made from scratching.
The system would be preloaded with all the jokes common to human interaction in all cultures. You’ll be able to pick one that probably hasn’t been heard by the human you’re working with at the time; also put in memory what has been said to that individual so that he does not repeat it.
