Building trust is easier and more exciting than most people think

One of the biggest obstacles in your way of having abundant confidence to pursue what you really want in life is not having anything that you are moving towards that really means something to you.

Very often we are controlled by that heartbreaking fear when we enter a new environment or try a new experience. New social settings can cause a tightness in the chest or a knot in the stomach. Perhaps you feel a lump in your throat when we attend an event held by our children’s school, or the office party that is outside the normal limits of showing up and sitting at the desk. You identify?

Lack of confidence prevents many people from doing so many things that they know they should or simply want to do. The conversation he feels compelled to start, but flinches and walks away. The job you want to seek or the business you really want to start, but you are terrified of being rejected or failing and being criticized by your friends, family or colleagues. The class you want to go to but are afraid that you will be embarrassed or that everyone will judge you because you won’t be able to.

I have also felt the pain and insecurity of low self-esteem and confidence. I remember turning my back on him and walking away from a girl when I was 16 years old. Why? Because she smiled at me and said hello! How could he do such a thing ?! I was terrified. I remember panicking, terrified that if I greeted him back I’d have to think of something funny, charming, and witty to say next. I felt my whole body invaded and frozen with panic and I just turned and walked away without saying a word.

I can look back and laugh now. But that was a real challenge for me 20 years ago and being able to overcome that kind of doubt and lack of confidence has made a huge difference in how I live my life and who I have become.

So what can people do about their low self-confidence? Life seems so overwhelming and challenging when your first thought about anything is always scary, and find out how you can get through the situation that is coming without blushing and becoming shy and uncomfortable. Fortunately, wherever you are now in your confidence levels, there are many wonderful and easy ways to increase and develop your confidence and self-belief.

It seems that, as a society, we have created a way of life in which to get an education, secure a career, get married and have children, buy a house and retire at 60, with a few annual summer holidays and a good car to live on. . traveling the journey in is, in short, a “full and well lived life”.

Now, if you’re doing what makes you light on the inside as a career, bravo! Yet statistics show that up to 84% of those surveyed in the developed world feel unhappy and dissatisfied in the job they have chosen. 84% ?? !! Isn’t that an incredible number?

One of the main reasons people suffer with low confidence is that they get stuck in a rut. They have stopped chasing and moving forward. All of these well-meaning counselors have turned people away from their center, further from the truth in their own hearts.
