Can Facebook ads drive traffic to your blog?

Is your blog getting the traffic you expected?

If not, we’ll tell you how Facebook Ads can help drive quality traffic to your blog.

The goal here is to find the right marketing mix to improve and increase your blog readership.

#1: Start with the Basics – Strategy

Remember that the focus is your blog. We are looking to help you drive traffic to your blog, not your Facebook presence. You know what your blog readers are coming for: your ideas, videos, images, etc. – Always keep it ‘fresh’, ‘informative’ and ‘entertaining’.

Prioritize – Facebook ads should increase the click rate of Facebook visitors to your blog. Once they arrive, you have several options to track the success of your ads.

#2: Build Your Blog’s Social Media Presence With Ads

Facebook ads can do a number of different things. They may advertise a product, service, or act as “brand builders.”

Carefully targeted and tested Facebook Ads should make “brand building reminders” for people who know you and also work as “attractors”, pulling in people who say something like “Wow, that looks interesting!”

By working with your Facebook Ads Manager and Power Editor, you can create a campaign (both budget and reach) to reach only the target audience you’ve identified. Facebook can help you with campaign demographics such as location, title, interest, household income, etc.

Are you new to the world of paid advertising?

There is great potential in moving from ‘free’ to ‘paid’ social media content drivers.

Many of us are familiar with the success that comes from using Google AdWords marketing. Facebook ads work the same way. How big is your potential audience? Are we talking about hundreds, thousands or tens of thousands of potential readers and followers?

#3: The value of directly uploaded video ads

YouTube is great and very popular, but in terms of advertising, we’ve found that videos uploaded directly (ie, without the need for hyperlinks) are much more effective at driving traffic and visitors to a blog – your blog! Therefore, if possible, try to produce and upload your own videos and use someone else’s.

To support direct video uploads, Facebook implemented video ad tools and special page features to drive even more visitors and fans to your blog.

When you upload a video to Facebook, you have the option to include a “call to action” link at the end of your video that allows your videos to connect viewers to the web page of your choice.

It’s easy to use?

On your Facebook page, simply click on “Photo/Video” and upload your video. After uploading, simply click “Add a call to action link” that appears.

Select the button with the wording that works for you and type the destination URL (you choose the web page).

How does it work?

After someone views your video on Facebook, a “CTA” button appears. If the viewer clicks on it, they will be taken to the URL you specified in “Add a call-to-action link”.
