In addition to local hard drive, VioGate-340 also supports saving recording data to remote NAS via network, PC or server installed with Windows OS, or FTP configured by various OS.
Recording Backup Mechanism
VioGate-340 provides a backup storage path that will be activated automatically when the main storage is not detected. Remote NAS and local hard drive can be configured as backup storage path to ensure data consistency and protect the system from data loss.
Smart recording; Optimized storage usage
The new smart recording function provided by QNAP enables automatic adjustment of bit rate and frame rate. When there is no motion, VioGate-340 will lower the bit rate and frame rate automatically to reduce MPEG-4 compression and save storage space.
GPIO Alert System
VioGate-340 is embedded with 4 GPIO connectors which can be integrated with other systems such as POS, gate control, ATM or other sensors and switches. They can also accept alert inputs, for example, emergency button, infrared sensor, vibration sensor to trigger recording and taking snapshots, send SMS to mobile phones, display event alerts on web management page, and send various alerts to another system.
Central monitoring system integration
When multiple VioGate-340 servers are deployed for monitoring large and dispersed areas, the central monitoring software, VioGate Master, can be used to monitor thousands of cameras in different areas by one PC. Live video can be viewed anytime, anywhere over the network. VioGate Master can centralize the control and configuration of all the functions of VioGate-340, bringing more convenience to the administrator and user, especially for large-scale and dispersed monitoring. VioGate Master also supports multi-channel monitoring, from single channel to 40 channels, as well as dual screen display, powerful graphical control E-MAP function.
