Feng Shui your relationships to avoid ruptures

How to spot harmful feng shui for relationships

Relationships, like technology, are becoming more complicated. There are so many factors to consider in relationships today that didn’t come into play in years past. Today, the woman can be the breadwinner of the family and the man can be the one who stays at home with the children. What hasn’t changed, however, is the importance and need for close, secure relationships.

We often use relationships to further define ourselves. We search for that perfect soulmate connection with that one true love. We also work to establish close and unbreakable bonds with our children, parents, friends and siblings. It is the connections that sustain us in times of difficulty and when there are problems. That’s what makes every relationship, from romantic to family, crucial. They are our lifelines in the stormy waters of life.

But what happens when relationships are not so smooth? However, when does an unexplained change in relationships start to occur? That’s when it’s time to look around you to see if there’s anything that might be causing friction in your dealings with loved ones. Fortunately, feng shui has several methods for making an environmental diagnosis of relationship problems.

Review some of these ideas below to see if your relationships may be suffering, or if there is the feng shui potential for a breakup. It’s worth looking into because we never want to see our relationships suffer or worse, be lost entirely.

1. Is someone missing from your house? In feng shui, the northwest is the male sector and the southwest is the female sector. If any of the sectors is missing, it is possible that the man or woman is also missing, for example, being away from work all the time. One couple was missing the northwest corner of the house and the husband was always traveling or working overtime. Once they moved into a new home, the husband was home at night, and their marriage was saved.

2. Is there a bathroom in the men’s or women’s section? Having a toilet in the northwest or southwest corners of your home can create relationship problems. Either there will be fatigue or ill health, or the man or woman will be overworked and underappreciated.

If this is the case in your home, be sure to boost the southwest or northwest corner of the living room to lift the energy of the person in question. Then make sure that the bathrooms in these sectors have been handled appropriately (ie, a plant in the southwest corner bathroom or blue colors in the northwest bathroom). This will prevent the negative energy from the toilet from affecting that person.

3. Are there problems with the whole family? Check the east sector of the house and the east corner of the room. The east is the sector of family relations. If, for example, there is a toilet in the eastern corner of the house, be sure to place red items here or paint the room red. Or, you can decorate in white and metallic elements. The red and metallic colors exhaust the negative energy of the toilet when it is in the eastern sector. If there is a fireplace, this will strain relationships perhaps through frequent arguments. If you have one of these, place a water image above the fireplace to drain the fire that might be draining your family’s feelings.

4. If the children are not happy, look to the west. The west sector is the children’s sector. If there are water features in this area, such as a shower or bathroom, it can cause problems and difficulties with children. Increase the earthy elements in the home, such as placing vases or beautiful stones in the west corner of the living room to encourage children. Similarly, you may also want to add metal items, such as vases or metal sculptures. If there is a kitchen or fireplace, again, water is useful, but so are earth elements such as globes, maps, vases, or stones.

5. The shape of your house could be to blame. Many houses have irregular shapes and are missing sections. This can create problems with household members, particularly if the male or female or children’s sectors are missing. Try to regularize the house and boost the missing sectors of your house by activating those sectors in the living room. For a missing south-west sector (romance, marital happiness, woman), north-west sector (man, breadwinner) or west sector (children, creativity) add a globe. Globes are excellent “anchors” for the southwest, northwest, and west sectors.

6. Check your heart sector, or center. The heart sector is a critical piece of the relationship puzzle in feng shui. Without a strong core sector, health, wealth, and relationships can suffer. Many houses are built with an open center. This creates a “hole in the heart” of the home and can cause heartbreak and divorce, as well as bankruptcy. Double this if the house has a tree or plants growing in the center section.

The central sector is a land sector. Plants, and especially trees, destroy the earth and may have played a pivotal role in Jennifer Anniston and Brad Pitt’s breakup. This was also a key element in a house that was designed by a couple. Going with a typical Spanish style house, they had a patio in the middle with a big fountain and big trees. This not only created a divorce, it also created bankruptcy. Although beautiful, this house was not worth the money it created.

If the house has a kitchen in the center, it can create strong disagreements and heated arguments. In this case, watercolors such as blue and black should be placed here, as well as other water features such as an aquarium or water urn. If a bathroom is in the center, then there must be a plant motif or colors (greens and browns) used here.
