With our low and medium voltage high-speed motors, we are offering a wide range of increased safety motors with protection class Ex d and Ex tc (formerly: Ex nA and Ex nC). Our motors are suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and comply with the highest European standards for explosion protection.

For example, our three-phase asynchronous motors with the cooling mode IC511 are designed to meet your specific requirements in terms of power and speed. This is achieved by a special process of casting and subsequent welding, ensuring maximum reliability and perfect balancing of the individual components. Moreover, the motors are equipped with sealed ball bearings or bushings depending on the required application.

High-voltage motors IC511 are available as open-circuit ventilated (IC 01) or surface-cooled (IC 411) variants. For particularly demanding applications, we can also offer you a motor with an air-to-air heat exchanger (IC 611 + IC 616 + IC 666) or water-cooled version (IC 81W).

We have extensive experience in the construction of high-voltage three-phase squirrel cage motors with a high inertia load. They are especially suited for the transport of heavy goods, such as cement and aggregates. These motors are equipped with an insulated core made of multi-layer steel, which is compressed and welded before being mounted in the frame. This ensures optimum insulating performance and a long service life.

In addition, we have a large selection of medium- and high-voltage three-phase fan drive high voltage motors IC511. These are supplied in accordance with ATEX and can be used in potentially explosive atmospheres. These motors are equipped with an enclosure of protection class IP55 and class F insulation. Depending on the requirement, they can also be delivered with a pressure relief valve and a temperature limiter.

All three-phase motors from the OMEX High Voltage series are supplied with a fuseholder as standard, and can be equipped with a current transformer (CT) or a differential relay (DVR). The terminal block is located on the right side of the frame and can also be placed on the left if required. The frame is made of galvanized, sheet metal and is extremely solid. It is complemented by an aluminum housing with an anti-corrosive paint finish, and features a rugged design that is easy to clean and suitable for operation in humid environments. The rotor is made of silicon steel and can be equipped with copper bars on request.
