How to prevent oily skin – Make your skin a pleasure to look at and touch!

Wanting to prevent oily skin is perfectly normal, if you’re the kind of person whose body seems to run like an overly productive oil factory. Of course, you don’t want to leave an oily complexion first impression on that first big date, or have your potential boss distracted by your overly oily skin during a job interview. The good news is that you can control, if not stop, oily skin easily and safely.

Your skin needs a certain amount of oil or sebum to keep it smooth and protect it from germs. However, excessive oil production by the sebaceous glands not only makes it look shiny and unattractive, it can also lead to the development of pores that appear larger than normal. Unfortunately, these enlarged pores can look unsightly like acne scars.

Another thing, skin that is too oily is more prone to dust and dirt. So you face the problem of not only having unattractive and shiny skin, but also having to deal with dirty skin.

Also, too much sebum can block pores and lead to other problems, such as whiteheads, blackheads, and acne. It’s bad enough that these problems show up on the arms, back, or neck. It’s even worse if they make their appearance on your face.

So what can you do to control the problem of oily skin? Treat it with oil.

It sounds funny, but it’s true: oil can solve the discomfort and inconvenience of oily skin. But not just any kind of oil, mind you. Stay away from mineral oil, a petroleum byproduct, which can exacerbate your skin problems. Consider a plant-based substance like jojoba oil instead.

Why? Because jojoba extract actually helps regulate the skin’s sebum production in the right amounts. In other words, it prevents your body from making too much slippery stuff. You get soft, smooth skin that doesn’t feel like oil is smeared all over it.
