Only one thing can change your life

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I’m excited that it’s time to get back to work. I find New Years Day a wonderful time. Many of us look back at the past year and think about goals and how we can change our lives. Evaluate your life, your health, your business, and your relationships.

One thing alone can change your life forever. Wouldn’t you be proud if you did it in 2006?

Things to think about when changing your life:

1. Change your diet: How much sugar do you eat? Our society is addicted to sweet things and is adding a lot of extra calories. To be honest with you, since I stopped drinking soda, I haven’t been struggling with weight gain. Another idea is to go out for lunch. It costs you extra time and money. Besides Taco Bell, KFC or any fast food is loaded with grease, chemicals and junk to be honest.

2. Change your life and start exercising: I’ll be the first to say that I don’t like exercise classes, or that I don’t have the time, or that I don’t want to pay for the expensive gym. But what is your excuse for not walking. It is the perfect exercise. It’s cheap, easy, you can do it almost anywhere.

3. Change your relationships: Simply put, everything you pay attention to grows and everything you ignore dies. Keep the priority on the ones you love, if they left tomorrow how would you feel?

4. Change your life and start thinking about your personal growth: Many of us stop growing after finishing school. We stop reading books and we stop spending our time wisely. Too much television brings us nothing but world parnoia. Television sends us messages about what they think is important. Every year I spend thousands of dollars on seminars, books, tapes, and classes. I don’t look at the world the same way I did 6 months ago just because I’ve probably read about 12 books since then.

5. Change your life by living as if tomorrow is your last day: stop taking things for granted. Start telling the important people in your life that you love them. Be grateful for everything you have, there are so many others who don’t have much.

6. Change your life by establishing a relationship with God: become a member of a church, find out what your purpose is on this earth. Involve.

So you ask “Christine, what are your goals for 2006?” I hope to live each day as an opportunity to achieve my goals and dreams. My number one goal is to replace my current business. This will allow me to be completely financially independent. I have a dream of working from my computer overlooking the beach at Koa Lagoon Maui Hawaii. I loved that place.

Great books to read, get 2006 off to a good start!
