Will the San Antonio Spurs tickets show fans another run to the title?

Tickets for the San Antonio Spurs have been nearly impossible to find for quite some time, as few cities support their team with the loyalty that San Antonio does to the Spurs. The team has rewarded its fans with several championship runs in recent years, and it seems like they’re in contention every season. This year is no different, but very few people seem to be talking about the Spurs when they talk about championship contenders, as the Mavericks and Suns are enjoying their own wildly successful streaks. Below we’ll see where Spurs stand and whether fans in the area can gear up for another title run.

In almost any other year, the Spurs would be in the driver’s seat in the Southwest Division with their strong 42-18 record. However, the Mavericks have been on a near-historic streak for months now, and currently have a 50-9 record, leaving the Spurs 8.5 games behind them. Barring some sort of injury or some other completely unforeseen collapse, it doesn’t look like the Spurs will catch up with the Mavericks. Despite that, the Spurs would have the third seed if the season ended today, and that’s a pretty good spot, as they’d avoid the Mavericks in the second round after reportedly defeating the injury-depleted Lakers in the first round. In general, they are in a decent position.

It seems like every year, the team that wins the NBA title has at least one player who catches fire down the stretch. We saw that last year with Dwyane Wade, and others on that recent list include Rip Hamilton and the Spurs’ own Tim Duncan. Although Duncan alone is still worth the effort to get San Antonio Spurs tickets, he still doesn’t look fully healthy and isn’t getting any younger. He can still take over games at times, but the best bet for a player to level him up in the coming weeks seems to be Tony Parker, one of the best catalysts in the game, but he too has been injured recently.

As hard as it is for Spurs fans to face, this is an old team. They’ve pretty much reached the ceiling of their potential, but one thing overturns all statistical trends: This is a team of champions and experience, and it’s quite possible that they can collectively advance and make one last run toward a title. Assuming the Spurs hold on to their playoff position and make it past the first round, they certainly have the ability to beat the Suns in the second round, even though they’re underdogs. Regardless, the San Antonio Spurs tickets could still be a chance to see Duncan and his assistants make one last championship trophy.
