Why detox?

External toxins from your environment (i.e., chemicals found in food, water, and air, pesticides, heavy metals, and other pollutants) bombard your body on a daily basis, causing many of the chronic diseases what we see today

If your body has the proper nutrition in sufficient amounts to provide healthy biochemistry, and if the elimination and detoxification organs are functioning at optimal levels, your body can safely and efficiently eliminate these unwanted substances through cellular processes through the main organs of detoxification. (ie skin, intestines, liver, kidneys, and lungs). The toxins are then eliminated through perspiration, bowel elimination, urination, and respiration. However, if the body absorbs more toxins than it can safely eliminate, a state of chronic toxicity can occur. Most chronic diseases can be attributed to the presence of unwanted substances in the body or a lack of necessary substances in the body. When the body has been exposed for an extended period of time, it loses its ability to detoxify at the same rate that toxins are produced and ingested, causing your organs to weaken.

The presence of unwanted substances in the body is a very common root of disease. The process of removing unwanted substances from the body at the cellular level addresses and corrects this imbalance. However, for effective detoxification, it is essential to provide the body with the necessary dietary substances so that the body can perform this important and natural function.

A detox allows your body to safely neutralize and eliminate harmful chemicals within the body. The detox program is designed to enhance the body’s natural ability to handle toxins. While it is not realistic to completely eliminate external toxins, the body can be assisted in its natural detoxification function so that it can better cope with the daily stresses of modern life. Detoxification has a beneficial effect on most chronic diseases because it impacts almost every system in the body: cardiovascular, nervous, immune, respiratory, reproductive, gastrointestinal, urinary, cutaneous, musculoskeletal, and endocrine.
